News Breaks October 2, 2012 07:37 EDT GGP, SPG Ackman thinks Simon should buy General Growth, WSJ reports Pershing Square Capital Management’s William Ackman wants to see General Growth Properties (GGP), a long time investment, sold to one buyer while criticizing Brookfield Properties which is another major shareholder, reports the Wall Street Journal. Ackman prefers a merger with Simon Property Group (SPG), which has made bids for General Growth in the past but is prohibited from making a bid for the company for two years.
