The U.S. Navy has awarded General Dynamics Electric Boat a contract to perform submarine safety program and intermediate submarine maintenance work for submarines. This five-year, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract has a potential value of $215.5M. Electric Boat is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics (GD).

The U.S. Navy has awarded General Dynamics American Overseas Marine, or AMSEA, a $32.7M contract modification to operate and maintain seven large, medium-speed, roll-on / roll-off ships, or LMSR, for the Military Sealift Command. AMSEA is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics. Under the terms of the modification, AMSEA will provide services including crewing, engineering, maintenance, procurement and provisioning. Initially awarded in 2010, the contract has a potential value of $238M over seven years.

General Dynamics (GD) said it would not ask the congressional Government Accountability Office to rule on a U.S. Army vehicle competition that it says is skewed to favor its rival, Britain's BAE Systems (BAESY), according to Reuters, citing a statement from a General Dynamics spokesman. The spokesman said, "We will continue to discuss the AMPV program with the U.S. Department of Defense and the Congress. We do not believe a GAO protest is the right forum for this issue and we will not file one." Reference Link

General Dynamics Canada is installing an adjunct processing system on three VASCO DA GAMA-class frigates of the Portuguese Navy. Designed by General Dynamics Canada, the ECLIPSE adjunct processor provides the in-service AN/SQS-510 sonar systems with enhanced operational capability to detect submarines and torpedoes.

General Dynamics Information Technology has been awarded the Joint Effects Model Increment 2 contract by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command. The cost plus fixed-fee award has a potential value of $23.5M over five years if all options are exercised. Under this contract, General Dynamics will develop software that will serve as the foundation for the JEM Increment 2 System as well as the software architecture for the JEM science and technology prototype.
