Le Gaga Holdings announced Na Lai Chiu, the vice chairman of its board, has been appointed as the chairman of the board, effective October 24. Chiu replaces Shing Yung Ma, who resigns from the position but remains the CEO and a director of the company. Ma resigned as the chairman of the board in order to focus on the management of the company. Ma commented, "My resignation as the chairman of the company allows me to focus on the company's strategic development, business activities and management. I look forward to spending more time on Le Gaga's operation and management, which I believe will deliver long-term value to our shareholders." Chiu became the company's adviser in early 2008 and was appointed as the company's vice chairman in July 2010. | |
