The company produced 1,027,741 ounces of silver and 5,348 ounces of gold plus significant base metal by-product. Silver and gold productions for the first nine months of the year totaled 2,977,025 ounces and 16,331 ounces respectively; reflecting 80% and 94% of the company's 2012 annual production guidance. At this rate of production, Fortuna is on track to exceed its 2012 forecast of 3.7M ounces of silver and 17,400 ounces of gold. | |

Fortuna Silver Mines released a new production plan for the San Jose Mine in Mexico based on the mill's expansion to be commissioned in Q3. Mill expansion to 1,800 tpd on track and scheduled to be commissioned in Q3. Upgrade to 1,800 tpd does not require additional CAPEX. Mine will start sourcing fresh ore for 1,500 and 1,800 tpd throughputs in August and November, respectively. Silver and gold production will increase annually by an average of 500,000 and 4,000 ounces, respectively.
