12:51 EDTJECJacobs Engineering selected as preferred bidder by EDF to support 3,200MW plant
Jacobs Engineering Group announced that it has been selected as a preferred bidder by EDF Energy to support its proposed new 3,200 MW nuclear power generation plant at Hinkley Point in Somerset, United Kingdom. Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs is to provide project management for the building and civil work on the main construction site including the marine works. Jacobs has worked on every nuclear licensed site in the UK, providing specialist expertise across the complete nuclear lifecycle from the existing nuclear power generation fleet, the new build program, through to decommissioning and clean up. Jacobs is currently providing a wide range of services to the EDF Group for projects in the UK and Europe. These include project management services to support EDF Energy’s program of maintenance and life extension projects at its eight UK nuclear power station sites and environmental services to support the 2000 megawatt Cottam and West Burton coal-fired stations.

16:30 EDTFLRFluor lowers 2015 EPS outlook to $4.05-$4.35 from $4.40-$5.00
Consensus $4.41. Fluor said, "The company continues to win and execute on numerous front-end engineering awards, particularly in oil and gas, and is encouraged by the positive comments from clients in regards to our strategy. However, relatively low new awards this year and delays in the full release of major projects due to the volatility mentioned above are placing pressure on expected results for 2015. Taking into consideration these factors and their impact on all of our business segments, the company is reducing its 2015 guidance range of $4.40 to $5.00 per diluted share to $4.05 to $4.35 per diluted share. This guidance excludes the effects of the previously announced termination and settlement of Fluor’s U.S. defined benefit pension plan which is expected in the latter part of 2015."
