13:00 EDTAPCEnergy Departmant authorizes second proposed facility to export LNG
The Energy Department announced on Friday that it has conditionally authorized Freeport LNG Expansion, and FLNG Liquefaction, Freeport, to export domestically produced liquefied natural gas, LNG, to countries that do not have a Free Trade Agreement, FTA, with the United States from the Freeport LNG Terminal on Quintana Island, Texas. Freeport previously received approval to export LNG from this facility to FTA countries on February 10, 2011. Subject to environmental review and final regulatory approval, the facility is conditionally authorized to export at a rate of up to 1.4 billion cubic feet of natural gas a day, Bcf/d, for a period of 20 years. The Department granted the first authorization to export LNG to non-FTA countries in May 2011 for the Sabine Pass LNG Terminal in Cameron Parish, Louisiana at a rate of up to 2.2 Bcf/d. Fluor announced that the company executed a contract with Qatar's Public Works Authority to provide program management and construction supervision services for the approximately $5B Sharq Crossing program - previously referred to as the Doha Bay Crossing program. A formal notice of award was received in January and the contract was recently signed by both parties. The approximately $185M contract will be booked in Fluor's Q2.

Fluor announced today that the company and Greater Gabbard Offshore Winds have reached a settlement on all outstanding claims related to the construction of the Greater Gabbard offshore wind farm project located off the coast of Suffolk, England. Financial terms of the settlement will not be disclosed and there is no material financial impact to Fluor. The agreement fully resolves all disputes and concludes Fluor's involvement in the project.
