07:32 EDTFLR, APCFluor and JGC awarded FEED contract by Anadarko Moçambique
Fluor (FLR) and JGC announced that their 50/50 joint venture was awarded a front-end engineering and design, or FEED, contract by Anadarko (APC) Moçambique Area 1 Limitada for an onshore natural gas liquefaction facility in the Republic of Mozambique. The project will be located in the Cabo Delgado Province, 2,000 kilometers northeast of Mozambique's capital, Maputo. Fluor will book its portion of the contract in the first quarter 2013. The FEED will deliver designs for the initial phase of the Mozambique LNG project of four trains, each train capable of producing 5M metric tonnes per annum of liquefied natural gas. The first LNG cargo is targeted for 2018.

13:00 EDTAPCEnergy Departmant authorizes second proposed facility to export LNG
The Energy Department announced on Friday that it has conditionally authorized Freeport LNG Expansion, and FLNG Liquefaction, Freeport, to export domestically produced liquefied natural gas, LNG, to countries that do not have a Free Trade Agreement, FTA, with the United States from the Freeport LNG Terminal on Quintana Island, Texas. Freeport previously received approval to export LNG from this facility to FTA countries on February 10, 2011. Subject to environmental review and final regulatory approval, the facility is conditionally authorized to export at a rate of up to 1.4 billion cubic feet of natural gas a day, Bcf/d, for a period of 20 years. The Department granted the first authorization to export LNG to non-FTA countries in May 2011 for the Sabine Pass LNG Terminal in Cameron Parish, Louisiana at a rate of up to 2.2 Bcf/d. Fluor announced that the company executed a contract with Qatar's Public Works Authority to provide program management and construction supervision services for the approximately $5B Sharq Crossing program - previously referred to as the Doha Bay Crossing program. A formal notice of award was received in January and the contract was recently signed by both parties. The approximately $185M contract will be booked in Fluor's Q2.

Fluor announced today that the company and Greater Gabbard Offshore Winds have reached a settlement on all outstanding claims related to the construction of the Greater Gabbard offshore wind farm project located off the coast of Suffolk, England. Financial terms of the settlement will not be disclosed and there is no material financial impact to Fluor. The agreement fully resolves all disputes and concludes Fluor's involvement in the project.
