Maker of Little Debbie snack cakes, McKee Foods, is offering $25M to $30M for Hostess's Drake's brand, which made Devil Dogs, Ring Dings and Yodels before Hostess began liquidating in bankruptcy, says the Wall Street Journal, citing people familiar with the negotiations. Flowers Foods (FLO) has a bid in for five major Hostess bread brands and private equity, including a team compromising the firms Apollo Global Management (APO) and and C. McGraw-Hill Education has filed with the SEC for an initial public offering of its common stock. McGraw-Hill Education intends to apply to list its common stock under the symbol "MHED" but its filing does not yet make clear on which stock exchange it intends to list its stock. Private equity firm Apollo Global (APO) bought the McGraw-Hill Education business from McGraw-Hill Companies, which then became McGraw Hill Financial (MHFI), in 2013.
