Chrysler Group responded to the findings of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, or NHTSA. According to the agency, after conducting and analyzing eight rear impact crash reconstruction tests, NHTSA informed Chrysler that "it did not have any reservations about implementation of Chrysler's proposed remedy." Chrysler has commenced parts production. The company's supplier partners are committed to a work schedule of three shifts per day, six days per week, with occasional Sunday production. Chrysler has already contacted affected customers and advised them of its intentions. The cost of this work will be borne by the company.

Veteran auto workers should get a wage increase in a new contract, while the compensation of newly hired employees should move closer to that of longer serving workers, UAW President Dennis Williams said today, according to Automotive News. Williams said he is not considering launching a strike when the auto workers' contact ends in September, the website added. Publicly traded companies in the space include Fiat S.p.A. (FIATY), Ford (F), General Motors (GM), Honda (HMC), Nissan (NSANY), Toyota (TM) and Volkswagen (VLKAY).Reference Link
