Summit Research believes the product revenue recognition changes that FireEye disclosed regarding the Mandiant deal created confusion. The firm says billings are only reduced by cash expenses so the impact is not large on free cash flow. Summit believes FireEye can grow at higher rates than the Street expects and for longer. It keeps a Buy rating on the stock.

Sony's (SNE) Sony Pictures unit said Re/code's report which stated that North Korea had been identified as the source of the cyber attack on the unit was not accurate, according to The New York Times. Sony Pictures and the FBI are continuing to identify the incident, the newspaper added.
