19:37 EDTFDX, UPSFedEx, UPS to face DEA probe over pain-pill shipments, WSJ reports
FedEx (FDX) is said to be close to facing criminal charges from the Drug Enforcement Administration over whether the company has been complicit in the illegal sale of prescription painkillers, according to a Wall Street Journal report. The report also noted that UPS (UPS) disclosed in SEC filings this month that it is cooperating with a similar DEA investigation and is in talks with the Justice Department to settle their case.
