06:18 EDTFB, TWTRWhatsApp valuation reasonable when compared to comps, says Citigroup
Citigroup says the $19B price Facebook (FB) paid for WhatsApp equates to $42 per user, which it believes is reasonable when compared to Facebook's current valuation of $135 per user and Twitter's (TWTR) valuation of $160 per user. Citi says that like most deals, the merits of the transaction will be determined in the future. It keeps a Buy rating on Facebook with a $70 price target.
