Ford (F) and Renault have recently announced plans to increase their production capacity in Spain, where labor costs are now 40% cheaper than in Germany and France, according to the New York Times. Other car makers had previously committed to spending up to $2.64B on building new plants or expanding existing factories in Spain, giving the troubled country a ray of hope, the newspaper said.
