EverBank Financial (EVER) announced that it has closed on the sale of $10.3B of unpaid principal balance of Fannie Mae (FNMA), Freddie Mac (FMCC) and private investor mortgage servicing rights to Green Tree Servicing. In addition, EverBank expects to close on the sale of $1.9B of UPB of private investor MSR to Green Tree pending approval at a later date. EverBank also announced that it has received all third-party consents required to close the sale of its default servicing platform to Green Tree

Fannie Mae has settled a shareholder lawsuit for $170M, Reuters reports. The settlement will pay $123.8M to common stockholders and $46.2M to preferred stockholders between November 8, 2006, and September 5, 2008, Reuters added. The lawsuit accused Fannie Mae of defrauding its shareholders and pumping its stock by issuing false and misleading statements during the 2008 financial crisis. Reference Link
