Elbit Systems announced that it has received an approximately $35M contract from the Israel Ministry of Defense, IMOD, for the development of advanced features for Unmanned Aircraft Systems, UAS, to be supplied within three years. One of the mission requirements is the quick re-configuration of the UAS' payloads. The contract is in addition to contracts, awarded by the IMOD, for the supply of Hermes,R 900 UAS and maintenance services that were announced by the company in 2012.

Israel's Elbit Systems (ESLT) is looking to buy Israeli company DSIT for $10M, according to The Marker. DSIT has developed an undersea monitoring system for use by militaries, energy companies, and nuclear reactors, according to the website. The system was successfully used by the Israel Defense Forces to detect Hamas divers who planned to carry out a terrorist attack against an Israeli kibbutz during last summer's war between Israel and Hamas, The MAarker noted.
