| theflyonthewall.com: | Executive Chairman of Eastman Chemical sold 117,533 shares, Barron's reports | | Eastman Chemical's (EMN) executive chairman and former CEO, J. Brian Ferguson, sold 117,533 shares at an average price of $55.30 each on Nov. 4. After the sale, he owned 797,971 shares directly and indirectly, down from 915,504 shares. His stake represents 1.1% of the company's outstanding shares. The shares sold were part of an annuity trust to which Ferguson contributed. Ben Silverman, director of research at InsiderScore.com says the sale is a negative sign because Ferguson is a long-time insider without a history of open-market sales, and he's selling into strength. "His individual history of hanging onto his shares and his recent job change are also mitigating factors," notes Silverman. Jonathan Moreland, director of research at InsiderInsights.com, agrees that the sale is a red flag.bReference Link :theflyonthewall.com |
