Eastman Chemical (EMN) announced that it has completed the acquisition of BP's (BP) global aviation turbine oil business. The acquired business is expected to be accretive to FY14 earnings excluding acquisition-related costs and charges. The newly acquired business is part of Eastman's Specialty Fluids & Intermediates business segment.

EU foreign ministers failed to impose any tough sanctions against Russia during a meeting of the bloc's foreign ministers yesterday, according to The New York Times. Given their dependence on Russia's energy, EU countries have "largely decided" they "have to live with" Russia, the newspaper stated.
