Airbus (EADSY) kicked off the Farnborough Airshow by announcing it is poised to sell overhauled versions of its A330 wide-body jet powered by Rolls-Royce (RYCEY) Trent 7000 engines, according to Reuters, citing comments from the company's CEO Tom Enders. 09:17 EDTRYCEYRolls-Royce to design, equip advanced stern trawler for VARD Group
The shipbuilding company VARD Group AS in Norway has announced a contract for a shrimp stern trawler to be designed and equipped by Rolls-Royce. The fishing vessel has been ordered by a Canadian company. The contract is worth in excess of GBP6M to Rolls-Royce. The vessel is of Rolls-Royce NVC 374 design and will be around 80 metres long featuring an ICE 1A ice class hull. It will be equipped with a wide range of Rolls-Royce equipment, including a B33:45 main engine, Promas propulsion, and a power electric system with hybrid shaft generator. The Rolls-Royce package also includes a tunnel thruster, automation, and winches. The vessel is to be delivered from VARD's Aukra yard in Norway in December 2016.

Airbus has delayed the delivery of its A389 superjumbo to Transaero Airlines in order to help the carrier cope with slowing travel demand domestically, Bloomberg reports, citing comments from Airbus' Chris Buckley, executive VP for customer affairs, in an interview at the Moscow Air Show. "We're working with them to determine new dates," Chris Buckley said. "Given the turbulence in the Russian market overall over the last two years, this is no big surprise." Reference Link
