According to sources, Airbus (EADSY) is telling customers that it is planning its upgraded A330 jet, tentatively dubbed the A330neo, to be 14% more fuel-efficient and able to carry more passengers, the Wall Street Journal reports. Rolls Royce (RYCEY) would build a new engine, the Trent 7000, for the widebody jet, the sources add. Reference Link

Airbus CEO Fabrice Bregier expects a newer model of the A380 won't be available until after 2022, reports Bloomberg. At a Wings Club luncheon in New York, Bregier said some carriers don't love the A380, adding that the "problem is to justify that such a big aircraft has a market.
