After losing out to Boeing (BA) in 2012 in terms of both deliveries and orders for the first time in a decade, EADS-owned (EADSY) Airbus is hopeful a “significant order” for Airbus A380 superjumbo jets may be finalized early in 2013, according to The Liverpool Daily, though the company declined to identify the customer and the exact number of aircraft under discussion. The crew of the Airbus (EADSY) A400M that crashed Saturday reported a technical difficulty just minutes before the crash, and Der Spiegel claimed the aircraft experienced multiple engine failure, reports the Financial Times, citing people close to the crash investigation.
