News Breaks | | | | January 2, 2013 | | 09:36 EDT | | DVA, FMS, MD, TMH, IPCM | Piper: Part of cliff bill could be negative for DaVita, Fresenius Piper Jaffray notes that included in the fiscal cliff legislation is a rebasing of the dialysis bundle in 2014 and a two-year delay implementing oral medications into the bundle, which it feels could be viewed as negative for DaVita (DVA) and Fresenius Medical (FMS). However, Piper notes the legislation once again fixed the 26.5% reduction for physician payments that was set to commence today. The firm views this as a minor positive for MEDNAX (MD), Team Health (TMH), IPC The Hospitalist Co. (IPCM), and the HealthCare Partners business for DaVita. | |
