News Breaks | | | | January 25, 2013 | | 08:51 EDT |  | DSX | Diana Shipping announces delivery of Kamsarmax dry bulk carrier, time charter Diana Shipping announced that the company, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, took delivery of the m/v "Myrto", a 82,131 dwt newly built Kamsarmax dry bulk carrier that the company entered into an agreement to purchase in December 2012. As previously announced, the m/v "Myrto" is time chartered to Cargill International S.A., Geneva, at a gross charter rate of $9,000 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum eighteen months to maximum twenty-four months. This employment is anticipated to generate approximately $4.86M of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the charter. | |

Under the terms of the loan agreement, one or more wholly-owned subsidiaries of Diana Containerships may borrow amounts under the loan to fund vessel acquisitions and for general corporate purposes. The loan matures on the fourth anniversary of the initial draw down date, and amounts drawn under the loan will bear interest at the rate of LIBOR plus 5.0% per annum.
