Dolby Laboratories announced that cinema-industry veteran Curt Behlmer is joining Dolby as Senior Vice President of Content Solutions and Industry Relations, reporting to Doug Darrow, Senior Vice President, Cinema. Behlmer and his team will advance and evangelize the possibilities of cinema sight and sound, starting with Dolby Atmos audio, making sure that Dolby technologies fit well into content workflows and are embraced by the industry. Behlmer is a 30-year veteran of the motion picture industry and recently served as Chief Technology Officer of Entertainment Services at Technicolor, where he developed and sponsored technology initiatives across a broad range of production, postproduction, and distribution service
