Lufthansa (DLAKY) said that it is positioned to cut service to Venezuela by 40% beginning in August amid an ongoing battle regarding repatriation of revenue from ticket sales, reported Reuters. Carriers such as American Airlines (AAL), Delta (DAL) and United Continental's (UAL) United have cut their number of flights to Venezuela over complaints they have not been able to get hard currency through the OPEC nation's currency control system.
