As Dell (DELL) considers a possible leveraged buyout by Silver Lake Partners, a number of its customers are looking at how such a deal could impact their IT investments, reports the Wall Street Journal. Some CIOs are concerned that distractions resulting from a deal could derail the company’s technology roadmap, but they also said they would easily switch to another vendor of computers, servers and storage such as Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) if they have to.
