German financial regulator Bafin asked Deutsche Bank AG (DB) to simulate a bank split based on proposals by the Liikanen group, sources say. The EU commissioned group, led by Bank of Finland Governor Erkki Liikanen, called for banks to put much of their trading activities into separately capitalized units.Reference Link
