| theflyonthewall.com: | Cypress Semi expands patent infringement claims against GSI Technology | | Cypress Semiconductor (CY) reported that as a result of the discovery phase of its litigation with GSI (GSIT), the accused products list was expanded in the ongoing ITC action to include GSI’s standard Synchronous and ZBT SRAMs. In addition, in a filing with the International Trade Commission on Nov 21, 2011, a proprietary product made by GSI for its largest customer was also added to the suit. In recent weeks, Cypress has released from its ITC action several companies originally named as importers of GSI memory products incorporated into their products. These companies have agreed to terms acceptable to Cypress with respect to ending the importation of the products named in the ITC. “We continue to seek an immediate end to the importation of GSI products that infringe on Cypress’s intellectual property,” the company said. “The ITC trial is on schedule for March, and we expect to prevail.” :theflyonthewall.com |
