| 07:35 EDT |  | CVX, RIG | Brazil drops criminal charges against Chevron, Transocean, Reuters reports In Brazil, a judge dropped criminal charges against Chevron (CVX), Transocean (RIG) and 17 of their employees related to a November 2011 offshore oil spill, reports Reuters. The criminal case, and a civil suit seeking up to $20.4B in damages, have affected Brazil's oil industry. The criminal suit carried penalties of up to 31 years. The civil case, which remains, is Brazil's largest ever environmental lawsuit.Reference Link |

Ecopetrol has a 100% interest in the highest bids for the POT-M-567 and FZA-M-320 blocks and a 50% interest in the highest bid for the CE-M-715 block, which it submitted with Chevron (CVX) Brasil Ventures. The three blocks comprise an area of approximately 1,862 sq kilometers in the Potiguar, Foz de Amazonas and Ceara offshore basins. |
