Citrix Systems announced last night that its President and CEO, Mark Templeton, will remain in his current role and will not retire next year as previously announced. Templeton said, "While I had planned to retire within the year following my leave of absence, my personal circumstances have changed, and I am more determined than ever to lead Citrix through its next wave of transformation." Citrix also announced the addition of Robert Calderoni to its board, effective immediately.

Citrix announced that is has completed its acquisition of Sanbolic. Sanbolic technology enables customers to software-define storage to optimize the delivery of application-specific workloads, from any media type SSD, Flash and hard drives in NAS, SAN, server-side and cloud deployments improving storage load balancing, application availability and delivering the highest-performance end-user experience. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
