Cardiovascular Systems announces the first patient enrollment in its prospective, randomized CALCIUM 360° clinical trial. The CALCIUM 360° study will compare the effectiveness of treatment of peripheral arterial disease - or PAD - behind and below the knee using CSI’s Diamondback 360 PAD System, a minimally invasive catheter for treating PAD anywhere in the leg, to treatment with balloon angioplasty. The study will enroll 50 patients and follow them for 12 months. :theflyonthewall.com
