The Ceradyne (CRDN) acquisition and other tailwinds should push 3M's (MMM) stock even higher, Barron's contends. Ceradyne should boost 3M's presence in a number of industries, from energy to defense and transportation. While the purchase will be dilutive the first year, it should meet with less resistance and be slightly less costly than 3M's previous plan to acquire Avery Dennison's (AVY) office- and consumer-products business.
