| theflyonthewall.com: | Camden Property to record a $85.6M charge in Q4 | | Camden Property Trust announced a reduction in the number of planned development projects it anticipates undertaking and the charges related to such actions. These decisions were the result of Camden's quarterly strategic review taking into consideration the current and anticipated economic climate. The company will recognize a charge of approximately $85.6M in the fourth quarter of 2009. The charge reflects a $72.2M non-cash reduction to the previous carrying value of $109.9M for land holdings for eight future projects the company has put on hold for the foreseeable future, and a $13.4M charge associated with a land development joint venture. These reductions primarily reflect the decline in fair market value below the carrying value of these investments.
