14:25 EDTCOG, DTE, SWNDTE Energy to significantly expand Bluestone Pipeline
DTE Energy's (DTE) Gas Storage and Pipeline segment has secured long-term gathering commitments with Southwestern Energy Co. (SWN) and Cabot Oil & Gas Corp. (COG) which will significantly expand the Bluestone Pipeline. The incremental Bluestone Pipeline capacity is supported by long-term agreements with minimum term commitments ranging from 10-15 years. Once in-service, the expansion facilities will increase the capacity of the Bluestone Pipeline from 600,000 Dth/day to 975,000 Dth/day, a greater than 60% increase in capacity since the gathering system first came online in late 2012. The 44.5 mile Bluestone Pipeline and Gathering system can currently transport up to 600,000 Dth/day combined to both the Millennium Pipeline in Broome County, N.Y. and the Tennessee Gas Pipeline in Susquehanna County, Pa.

08:35 EDTDTEGE Hitachi Nuclear Energy, DTE to advance ESBWR development
GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GE, HTHIY) and DTE Energy (DTE) announced plans to explore advancing the detailed design of the Economic Simplified Boiling Water Reactor. In May, DTE Energy received the first-ever ESBWR-based combined construction and operating license from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. DTE has not made a commitment to build, but is keeping the option open, given the long-term environmental and economic advantages of nuclear power. Dominion Virginia Power has also selected the ESBWR as their technology of choice for a potential third reactor at the North Anna site. That project is expected to be licensed by the NRC next year.
