Comverse announced that United Telecommunication Services selected Comverse for a multi-year managed services contract to provide operations and application support services and maintenance for UTS's billing and active customer care solution. In the framework of the agreement, Comverse will provide a range of Managed Services. The onsite lineup will include a team to handle all aspects of the product catalog, workflow, ordering and billing components and more.

After Israel's Globes said that Amdocs (DOX) is in advanced talks to buy Comverse's (CNSI) billing unit for $300M-$400M, JPMorgan said it believes Comverse has had the unit up for sale for quite some time and that such a deal could make strategic and financial sense for Amdocs. However, the firm added that such a deal might suggest that Amdocs management sees limited opportunities for organic growth in the near-term. JPMorgan has a Neutral rating on Amdocs shares.

Comverse and Tech Mahindra have reached an agreement on a strategic relationship, whereby Comverse will accelerate its transformation in digital services by leveraging Tech Mahindra's expertise and scale in development and delivery of digital offerings. As part of this initiative, employees from certain functions within Comverse's Digital Services business unit are anticipated to join Tech Mahindra. Tech Mahindra will complement Comverse's R&D and engineering operations through innovation in product development techniques and just-in-time capability reinforcement. The program is expected to be implemented starting June 1.
