Comtech Telecommunications announced that its Tempe, Arizona-based subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp., was awarded a $4.2M order for DMD2050E Satellite Modems. A systems integrator ordered the equipment on behalf of the United States Army. The modems will be deployed to support mission-critical communications associated with a major military program.

Comtech announced that its Santa Clara, California-based subsidiary, Comtech Xicom Technology Inc., has received a $2.5M order to supply solid-state high-power amplifiers to a military integrator. The order was for a new high power Gallium-Nitride based SSPA product that will upgrade existing transportable satellite communications systems providing voice, data, video conferencing, internet and high resolution video connectivity for deployed military forces.

Comtech today that its New York-based subsidiary, Comtech PST Corp., received multiple orders totaling approximately $6.7M for broadband, solid-state, high-power RF microwave amplifier systems from two different international OEMs. The amplifier systems, which include the latest broadband solid-state switching and transistor technology, provide for broad frequency coverage and will be utilized as part of communications jamming systems.
