Comtech announced that its subsidiary Comtech Systems has received a $1.4M contract from the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration to provide both its highly mobile modular transportable transmission system transit case terminals and transportable communications trailer mounted troposcatter systems. The MTTS terminals represent a breakthrough in the new generation of high-capacity, digital troposcatter systems for highly mobile users.

Comtech Telecommunications Corp. announced that its New York-based subsidiary, Comtech PST Corp., received a $1.3M order for solid-state, high-power RF switches from a major domestic prime contractor. These switches provide for very broad frequency coverage and are key components in an integrated electronic countermeasures system used by the U.S. Military.

Comtech Telecommunications announced that its Santa Clara, California-based subsidiary, Comtech Xicom Technology Inc., has received an award of $1.6M from a U.S. military integrator to supply high-power traveling wave tube amplifiers, or TWTAs. The rugged outdoor antenna-mount TWTAs are to be used in transportable satellite uplinks for tactical military satellite communications.
