CMS Energy investing $150M in Michigan Consumers Energy is spending over $150M this year to strengthen and expand its natural gas system throughout Michigan. The gas system improvements will upgrade portions of Consumers Energy's 29,000 miles of distribution and transmission gas pipelines that serve 1.7M natural gas customers in Michigan. The company's $82M enhanced infrastructure program includes 59 projects to replace 88 miles of pipeline.
CMS Energy increases projecting spending on CapEx over next 10 years to $17B The company also increased its projected spending on capital expenditures over the next 10 years from $15.5 billion to $17 billion. The additional spending enables CMS Energy to increase its earnings per share guidance to 6% to 8%, starting in 2017.
