CME Clearing Europe adds two new European natural gas contracts CME Clearing Europe, CME Group's European clearing house, announced that it has added two new over-the-counter European natural gas forward contracts for clearing; the United Kingdom National Balancing Point Natural Gas Physically Delivered Forward contract and the Netherlands Title Transfer Facility Natural Gas Physically Delivered Forward contract. These contracts will be listed for clearing on CME ClearPort and will be subject to the rules of CME Clearing Europe, CME Group's European clearing house. These contracts will launch on February 25 subject to approval by the Financial Services Authority.

CME Group reports contracts volume in February up 2% YoY CME Group announced that February 2014 volume averaged 14.0 million contracts per day, up 2% compared with February 2013 – and up 8% from January 2014. Total volume for February 2014 was more than 266M contracts, of which 86% was traded electronically. Year-to-date 2014 average daily volume of 13.4M contracts was up 7% compared with the same time period last year.
