Clean Energy Fuels announced the opening of the first liquefied natural gas fueling station in FL, as well as the opening of the company’s America’s Natural Gas Highway stations in Pontoon Beach, Ill., and Fontana, CA, to fuel heavy-duty natural gas trucks. The company also announced select deals in the transit and refuse sectors building on its portfolio of natural gas fuel customers across the country. Dallas Area Rapid Transit, or DART, plans to convert entire bus fleet to CNG and signs multi-year agreement with Clean Energy to maintain DART's four LNG fueling stations.

Clean Energy reported it delivered for the first time over 50M compressed natural gas gallons in one quarter. The company plans to grow its CNG sales further with a strategic move to expand its CNG market to large industrial and institutional energy users beyond the nation’s natural gas pipeline by acquiring a controlling interest in NG Advantage, a pioneer in the natural gas “virtual pipeline” delivery system. The NG Advantage investment will primarily be used to fund capital expenditures for expansion and growth in the business. Clean Energy will also purchase NG Advantage’s Milton, Vt., compression station which is on track to supply nearly 16M gasoline-gallon-equivalents of CNG annually. This station will immediately become Clean Energy’s highest-volume station in its nationwide network of almost 500 stations.

Clean Energy Fuels announced at the American Trucking Association Management Conference and Exhibition a multi-year fueling agreement to further support Dillon Transport’s ongoing leadership in heavy-duty natural gas truck fueling. Clean Energy is scheduled to supply Dillon’s growing fleet with approximately 2.5M additional DGEs of CNG annually and expects to open three additional public truck-friendly natural gas stations in Houston, Texas, Midland, Texas, and West Atlanta, Ga., over the remainder of the year to accommodate the increased fuel sales.
