Chemtura to acquire bromine assets of Solaris ChemTech Industries Ltd. Chemtura has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the bromine assets of Solaris ChemTech Industries Limited, India's leading manufacturer of bromine and bromine derivatives. The acquisition includes two manufacturing facilities, a well-established R&D center and a multi-products facility in the State of Gujarat. The new subsidiary will be headquartered in New Delhi. The parties expect to close by the end of 2012.

Chemtura acquires full interest in DayStar Materials joint venture Chemtura Corporation announced that it has acquired UP Chemical’s 50% stake in DayStar Materials, a South Korean manufacturer and marketer of high-purity metal organic precursors for the LED market. Chemtura now owns a 100% interest in DayStar, which was formed in 2011 as a joint venture of Chemtura and UP Chem.
