News Breaks | | | | January 29, 2013 | | 16:03 EDT |  | CDI | CDI subsidiary awarded contract by ULA CDI announced that its DSPCon subsidiary has been awarded a contract to deliver data acquisition solutions to the United Launch Alliance, or ULA. DSPCon systems will be used for wind-tunnel tests of ULA's Delta IV Heavy launch vehicle to support NASA's Exploration Flight Test-1, or EFT-1, the first planned un-crewed test flight of the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle. The EFT-1 mission will be a multi-hour, two-orbit test of the Orion Crew Module featuring a high apogee on the second orbit and a high-energy re-entry at around 20,000 mph. | |
