CBOE Holdings reports July trading volume CBOE Holdings reported that July trading volume for options contracts on Chicago Board Options Exchange and C2 Options Exchange and futures contracts on CBOE Futures Exchange totaled 108.89M contracts. Average daily volume was 4.95M contracts, an 11% increase from July 2013 and a 4% increase from June. CBOE Holdings' year-to-date ADV was 5.18M contracts, 12% ahead of the same period one year ago. July was the second-most-active-month in total trading volume for futures on the CBOE Volatility Index, up 48% from July 2013.
CBOE Holdings shares have more downside risk, says Citigroup Citigroup says that despite the recent pullback, shares of CBOE Holdings have additional downside risk. Citi thinks a "steep" valuation, disappointing volumes and high expectations will push the stock lower. It cut its price target for shares to $52 from $54 and keeps a Sell rating on CBOE.
