CBOE Group (CBOE) COO Edward Tilly told the Credit Suisse financial services forum that the company would consider going private if it would benefit shareholders, Reuters reports. He said "If valuations as a result of conversations with Carlyle (CG) lifts all boats, so be it ... We would have to entertain changes in our structure." Tilly will succeed Bill Brodsky as CEO in May. Reference Link

CommScope (COMM) announced yesterday the sale of 20M shares of its common stock on an underwritten basis by an affiliate of The Carlyle Group (CG). In addition, the underwriter will have an option to purchase up to 3M additional shares from Carlyle. CommScope will not receive any of the proceeds from the offering of shares by Carlyle. Closing of the offering is expected to occur on or about March 9, subject to customary closing conditions. Goldman, Sachs & Co. is acting as the sole underwriter for the offering. Following the offering, Carlyle will continue to beneficially own 81,216,970 shares, or approximately 43%, of CommScope’s outstanding common stock after giving effect to the offering.

CBOE Holdings announced that it has entered into a licensing agreement with London Stock Exchange Group to develop and list options based on more than two dozen FTSE and Russell indices. Under the agreement, cash-settled options on these indices will now be available to trade in the United States on the Chicago Board Options Exchange. In addition, as part of the agreement, CBOE and LSEG will collaborate on new index options products and investor education globally. The trading in FTSE and Russell index-based options on the CBOE will begin in the coming months.
