Eight Japanese manufacturers - including Canon (CAJ), Nikon (NINOY), Nissan (NSANY), Panasonic (PC) and Toyota (TM) - yesterday agreed to provide $145M to bail out Japanese chip maker Renasas, The New York Times reported yesterday. The Japanese government will contribute the rest of the $1.8B need to keep Renesas afloat, the newspaper added. Reference Link
