| theflyonthewall.com: | Three insiders reduced their holdings in Bally Technologies, Barron's reports | | Bally Technologies (BYI) has seen its stock rise 45% since March, when the market bottomed. Recently, a few insiders at the company have cashed in on that jackpot run, selling a combined $3.9M worth of shares. David Robbins, Bally's chairman, sold 40,000 shares for $1.7M, or an average price of $42.06, on Nov. 3 and 4. After the sale, Robbins held 525,100 shares directly and indirectly, down from 565,100 shares. His stake fell to slightly less than 1% of the company's outstanding shares from just over 1%. On the same day, CFO Robert C. Caller and Jacques Andre, a director, exercised and sold $1.1M each in stock options. Lon Juricic, president of StreetInsider.com, says Robbins' past sales haven't been predictive, so the latest one shouldn't raise a red flag. "That said, the stock has rallied significantly off the bottom, so you have to think it may be range bound," Juricic says. Reference Link :theflyonthewall.com |

| theflyonthewall.com: | FBR Fund Advisers favor World Fuel Services, O'Reilly Automotive, Barron's says | | The co-managers at FBR Focus Fund (FBRVX) think the market's recent volatility should benefit stock-picking over indexing. They buy high-quality companies with strong management at reasonable prices. The fund, which now oversees $707M, continues to buy only the managers' best ideas, which results in a concentrated portfolio of about 24 stocks; more than 72% of its assets are in 10 positions: ORLY, AMT, MKL, KMX, PENN, BYI, AON, NWSA, GOOG, SSD. Barron's reports that the fund’s two favorites are: World Fuel Services (INT) with its best-in-class balance sheet; and O'Reilly Automotive (ORLY) which has just 5% of a huge market, giving it plenty of room to grow. http://online.barrons.com/article/SB50001424052748703518604577213163331222328.html?mod=BOL_twm_fs :theflyonthewall.com |
