Class-action lawsuits have been filed in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and California claiming that AB InBev (BUD) beer has less alcohol than the labels list, according to Time. Each lawsuit is seeking damages of more than $5M, and other lawsuits are expected to be filed in Ohio and Colorado. The company responded by saying, "The claims against Anheuser-Busch are completely false, and these lawsuits are groundless… Our beers are in full compliance with all alcohol labeling laws." Anheuser-Busch and the National Basketball Association announced a four-year extension of their long-term marketing partnership, which began in 1998. Anheuser-Busch will continue as the Official Beer Partner of the NBA, Women's National Basketball Association and NBA Development League. As part of the agreement, Anheuser-Busch will also expand its marketing partnership to include USA Basketball and the league's Hispanic marketing initiative, Noches ene-be-a. For the first time, Anheuser-Busch and the league will work together to produce an original digital content media series, designed to bring its brand messages to life through basketball. These videos will appear on NBA-owned properties and will be shared on Anheuser-Busch-owned properties this season. The partnership also includes enhanced packaging and marketing rights. Anheuser-Busch can now feature select NBA and team logos collectively on a national basis on cans, bottles and other packaging and in promotional campaigns.

AB InBev (BUD) is planning to divest SABMiller's (SBMRY) Peroni and Grolsch brands as it seeks regulatory approval for its proposed merger with the company, reports the Financial Times, citing a source, though a separate source cautioned that the company was merely considering selling the brands. Deutsche Bank (DB) devised international tax avoidance strategies for certain of its corporate clients, reports the Financial Times, citing several documents and sources. The bank pitched its tax saving plans -- which featured so-called profit-participating instruments -- to companies including AB InBev (BUD), Archer Daniels (ADM), Bunge (BG), and Cargill this year, according to the publication. None of the proposals were illegal, noted the Financial Times, and Deutsche commented that "these transactions were never executed." Reference Link
