AB InBev expresses support for Constellation, Crown motion Anheuser-Busch InBev (BUD) confirmed that it has filed a memorandum with the United States District Court for the District of Columbia in support of Constellation Brands (STZ) and Crown Import's Motion to Intervene as parties to the antitrust complaint filed by the U.S. Department of Justice The filing is in connection with AB InBev’s pending transaction to acquire the remaining shares in Modelo that it does not already own. AB InBev and Modelo said they support Constellation and Crown's entry into the case and welcome their participation in contesting the DOJ's allegations.
AB InBev announces $1B share buyback program The board has approved a share buyback program for an amount of $1B, which will be conducted during the course of this year. The company's current intention is to use the shares acquired to fulfill its various share delivery commitments under the stock ownership plan. The program will be executed under the powers granted at the General Meeting of Shareholders on April 30.
