Residential Capital, the mortgage arm of Ally Financial, said that it wanted to proceed with its original plan to hold two auctions, one of which will be anchored by a "stalking horse" bid from Fortress Investment Group (FIG), instead of accepting a bid from Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A) to buy most of its assets out of bankruptcy, reported The New York Times, citing court documents. Dako, an Agilent Technologies (A) company, announced a new Master Collaboration Agreement with Amgen (AMGN). The expanded collaboration will allow both companies to benefit from knowledge-sharing within the field of drug-diagnostic research and development in general, and in relation to companion diagnostic products in particular. The financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
