BP (BP) is the cheapest of the world's five oil majors, which include Exxon Mobil (XOM), Chevron (CVX), Royal Dutch Shell (RDS.A), and Total SA (TOT), when measured by market value relative to reserves, earnings, and output and is now seen as a takeover target after selling more than $50B in assets to cover costs related to the 2010 Gulf oil spill, according to a Bloomberg report that cites people familiar with BP's strategic thinking. The price of West Texas Intermediate oil was up about 4% after Saudi Arabia and other countries bombed Iranian-backed rebel forces in Yemen, according to Reuters. OVerseas stocks fell signficantly following the attacks, the news service noted. Dako, an Agilent Technologies (A) company, announced a new Master Collaboration Agreement with Amgen (AMGN). The expanded collaboration will allow both companies to benefit from knowledge-sharing within the field of drug-diagnostic research and development in general, and in relation to companion diagnostic products in particular. The financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
