15:06 EDTBKBNY Mellon, DeAWM in negotiations for fund administration outsourcing
BNY Mellon announced that it has entered into exclusive negotiations with Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management, DeAWM, to provide fund administration outsourcing services, representing roughly $47.6B in assets under administration. Under the proposed agreement, DeAWM would outsource its real estate fund finance, fund accounting, asset management accounting, and client and financial reporting functions to BNY Mellon. It is anticipated that approximately 80 members of the DeAWM global real estate fund finance team would transfer to BNY Mellon and become part of its Alternative Investment Services organization, conditional upon the deal closing.

BNY Mellon (BK) has been appointed by NASDAQ OMX Clearing (NDAQ) to provide EMIR, or European Market Infrastructure Regulation, compliant clearing and custody services for U.S. Treasuries within the NASDAQ OMX Group's new European clearing business. The new mandate extends BNY Mellon's existing relationship with NASDAQ OMX - it was appointed by the exchange as a cash settlement bank in 2013 - and reinforces BNY Mellon's position as a leading custodial service provider to central counterparties, or CCPs. Both EMIR and the Dodd-Frank legislation in the U.S. mandate the migration of over-the-counter derivatives from bilateral clearance to CCPs.
